Upgrading of Sinaw - Mahoot - Duqm Road, Section 2
Oman
The road connects the Ash Sharqiah Governorate with the Al Wusta Governorate. The new road is a single-lane roadway parallel to the existing road; and it involves the construction of 117 km of asphalt road. The pavement structure consists of 50 mm thick bitumen wearing course, 160 mm thick bitumen base course, 150 mm thick crushed aggregate base course and 300 mm thick granular base course. The scope of works also included Box culverts; future water, electricity and telephone ducts; safety barriers; street lights; road signs and road markings.
