Extension of the Vianden pumped storage plant - Lot 1 asphalt hydraulic engineering works

As part of the extension of the existing Vianden pumped storage scheme by an 11th generator unit, STRABAG International GmbH was awarded the contract for execution of all asphalt sealing works on the two upper basins.
 
This contract also called for full-surface rehabilitation of the existing slope and sealing of the new intake structure in the upper basin 1. In addition, the contract included all sealing works required as part of the dam crest heightening at the two upper basins, 1 and 2.
