El Teniente Mine – Túnel Correa CC-084
Chile
El Teniente, located 80 km south of Santiago in the Andes Mountain range, is the largest underground copper deposit on the planet. It began to be exploited in 1905 and already has more than 4,500 kilometres of underground galleries.
Züblin International GmbH Chile SpA has been actively involved in projects within the mine since 1992.
Túnel Correa CC-084 involves the horizontal development of the Correa Tunnel and the personnel access tunnel. An important part of the Túnel Correa project is the construction of a steel pipe with HDPE inner lining with a diameter of 24.
El Teniente Mine – Diamante
The project, part of the new development plan for the El Teniente Division, seeks to replace the depletion of copper mining reserves in the current productive sectors of the El Teniente Mine.
The project includes developments, civil works and transfer works.
