Construction of Wadi Al-Jifnain Flood Protection (Dam JIF07)

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries Wealth and Water Resources awarded the contract to STRABAG Oman for the construction of the Wadi Al-Jifnain Flood Protection Dam in Al Khoud in the Muscat Governorate. The flood protection dam, consisting of an earth and rock fill with 20 meter deep concrete sealing wall. The Dam is 6.4 kilometers long and of 22 meters height. The works also included the protection of existing utility lines that crossed the dam's path. Two bottom outlets and two overflow channels.
