The Abu Dhabi Branch has - just on time for the 03rd November 2013 Formula 1 Abu Dhabi race weekend and therefore compliant to the program - handed over the Yas Club Project to the employer Miral.

The Club is the only dedicated Night Club on Yas Island with a maximum capacity for up to 840 guests. The works were executed under a turn key contract which involved design & build, complete fit–out , testing and commissioning of all systems in accordance to the approval and acceptance of the local authorities in a record time of 11 months and with a contract value of 65 Mio AED, equivalent to approximately 13 Million Euro.

The works commenced on 17th January 2013 by drilling of concrete piles, immediately followed by the concrete structure, the pre-stressed beams and the precast concrete facade elements during the hot season with temperatures reaching up to 55 degrees celsius and even more challenging during the holy month of Ramadan with local restricted working hours.

STRABAG MEP executed all MEP works up to structured cablings including testing and commissioning as well as installation of kitchen equipment during the months July to October 2013. In parallel a specialized fit out company implemented all the architectural interior fit out works including joinery, bars, etc.
A specific challenge was the completion of the external works during the months of September and October 2013.

The Yas Club has an elliptical layout with a diameter of approx. 65 meter, with a height of 17 meter and the external façade now provides the canvas to the current world largest Graffiti surface. This identifies the Club as an icon on the YAS Island which already hosts the Yas Marina Circuit and numerous leisure hotels.
Beside the biggest Graffiti surface, the Club has the biggest permanent 3D –mapping as well. Both of these features are currently under application for the Guiness Book of Records.

The client Miral and the PMC Aecom were highly impressed by the commitment of ZÜBLIN to perform the works in such a short works program.
