Sky Venture: The World`s Biggest Indoor Sky Dive Experience, Abu Dhabi, UAE

The Sky Venture Project is the latest addition to the spectacular attractions on YAS Island developed by Miral located  between Abu Dhabi's biggest mall and the famous Ferrari World Theme Park. With a final height of approx. 60 m the Sky Venture Building is also the highest building on YAS and a distinctive add-on to the surrounding skyline of the Formula One Race T rack. It houses the world's biggest indoor skydiving wind tunnel and the world's tallest indoor climbing wall.  
 
The skydiving chamber spans 9.75 m and offers the opportunity to fly up to 30 m. Beside the indoor skydiving adventure, the venue hosts a climbing gym of 2000 sqm, distributed to four walls of varying difficulty forming the world's tallest indoor climbing wall that stands at 43 m. Both facilities are operated by Farah Leisure allowing year round operation. 

The contract value is approx. 45 Mio EUR with a plot footprint of approx. 5,300 m².
Above ground level, the skydiving simulator will reach a height of approx. 50m , 50m width, 20m depth and will be submerged further 6m into the ground. The scope of works included the design and build of the iconic and unique building envelope and structure. The facade is supported by 1000 tons of steel. Due to the complex cristalline building shape every single connection knot was a unique steel masterpiece, supporting the triangular secondary structure. 130 nos of unique mega panels are forming the 15,000 sqm envelope. All panels, weighing up to 18 tons, had to be pre-assembled with the facade skin on the ground, lifted and fixed into final position.
