Construction of 5 Bridges for Sultan Haitham City – Package 02

The construction of Sultan Haitham City is the country's current megaproject. The aim is to create a futuristic, modern and sustainable city in four phases, with the first phase due for completion in 2030. STRABAG Oman was awarded a contract by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning to build four box girder bridges and a multi cell culvert for Oman's flagship project. The four bridges has a total span of 635 m and of 40 m width; and have two lanes of traffic way, sides parking, bicycle lane, and pedestrian paths in each direction. The bridges are designed to accommodate all utilities crossing water channel.
This is an ongoing project; and STRABAG Oman was awarded earlier the enabling works to level the land of the new city.
