STRABAG awarded € 250 million contract to build new residential development in AbuDhabi

Vienna, 22 October 2024 STRABAG has secured a new major project worth more than € 250 million in Abu Dhabi, as Group company Zublin Construction LLC has been commissioned to build the Sea la Vie residential project on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, on behalf
of developer Nine Yards Real Estate Development. The complex, being built in a premium location on the waterfront, comprises four towers with 16 to 18 floors as well as 30 townhouses to be constructed on a common two-storey podium. The contract also includes a three-storey car park with 1,018 parking spaces. Construction has already begun and is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2027.

The project stands out for its high-tech design and modern architectural style. The triangular-shaped residential towers make a striking sight on the 30,000 m² site situated directly by the sea. Inside, there are 638 exclusive apartments, maisonettes and lofts with balconies and access to private sports facilities, a playground and an infinity pool. The complex will feature a total gross floor area of 111,300 m², 668 residential units and 500 m² of retail space. A large lagoon suitable for swimming and beach activities is also planned for the centre of the complex.
